Surprise!
I am not one who enjoys surprises. However, I do love to surprise others! Last weekend, we celebrated my father-in-law's 70th birthday with a surprise bash. Great food, great wine and great friends made for a perfect weekend. Happy Birthday, Donald!

Holy Cuteness
Everyone needs a friend like my friend, Miriam. She seems to have all the answers. If I need to know where to buy a purple couch-Miriam has a connection. If I need to know where to have a personalized shirt made for my daughter's birthday-Miriam has a connection. And thank goodness
she sent me to Mrs. B's Accessories (mrsbsaccessories.com). That is where I discovered Rebekah and her amazing ability to deal with incredibly, picky clients (such as myself). After an uncountable amount of emails, Rebekah created the most adorable tank top, bows and party hat for Claire's upcoming ladybug party. Now, Claire's outfit is complete. Thanks Rebekah and Miriam!

The ladybug invitations have arrived!
Claire's ladybug party is coming together! I was so excited to meet with Angela from Tiny Bites and Invites yesterday to pick up Claire's birthday invitations. Aren't they adorable? Wait until you see what she does with the birthday party cupcakes that are inspired by Martha Stewart. She has an amazing talent. Don't take my word for it-go check out her website (tinybitesandinvites.com)!
I also love the personalized metal buckets for the bug hunt and the ladybug wands! Next on the list: ladybug antenna's, pinwheels and wheat grass/ladybug centerpieces.

Ladybugs, Polka Dots and Tulle-Oh My!
I can't sing. I can't dance. I can't run a marathon. But I can plan a pretty incredible party. Though my company, Please RSVP, specializes in weddings and events-my favorite phone call to receive are those who want me to plan kids parties.
Lately, I have my own daughter's 3rd birthday in mind. A garden party brunch themed with ladybugs and polka dots. Seven tulle tutu's, six pairs of flip flops, eight antenna headbands and many other details to still complete. Two months in the making and I am half way there.
Stay tuned for a new side of Please RSVP. Watch for our party posts updates and let us know what you think.

Spring Has Finally Sprung
I know it's officially spring when the daffodils begin to peek through the brown grass and the neighborhood children are riding their bikes until dusk. The weather has been gorgeous for a couple of days and I'm already daydreaming of summer parties. To get you in the spring spirit, here are some images of a spring brunch. Ah, it's just around the corner.

"Bless Our Nest"
I spent the day at 425 Downtown last week with Angela from Tiny Bites & Invites and Laura from the Total Bride. We dressed tables with the "bless our nest" baby shower theme and I'm dying to put one together for a client! The navy blue and chocolate brown linens paired with the "could these be any more adorable" birds nest cupcakes create an elegant yet sweet table setting. Ah, I'm in love and wishing I had a client expecting a baby soon!

Coffee, Chocolate and Blogs
As I sat in the front windows of Coffee Ethic this morning, enjoying a cup of Askinosie Hot Cocoa and conversation with a friend, I made an impulse decision to start a blog. Every good company has a blog, right?
I'm already looking forward to future posts of party ideas, tablescapes and one of my favorite pastimes-weddings. Thanks Miriam, Coffee Ethic and Askinosie Chocolate for providing me with enough inspiration to get started. I might even plan a coffee and chocolate themed tablescape in honor of the new blog. Sounds delicious!
