I love babies. I also love baby showers! Last week, we posted photos of the wishing tree we made for a client using the "nest theme." We've included a few more pics today of the rest of the shower. It Takes a Village...

I am in love with the new trend of "wishing trees." My latest was in baby form for a new mommy-to-be's baby shower. The hanging cards read, "It takes a village to raise a child." Isn't that the truth? We'll post more pics of this "bless their nest" shower tomorrow. For now, here is a preview of our wishing tree. I can't wait for the guest of honor to enjoy reading all the wishes and baby advice from her friends. What a sentimental and sweet gift!

Can we please talk about the delicious-looking "candy" that is actually made of soap? All of these products-cupcakes, lollipops and even the French macaroons-are really made of soap! I am amazed. I always look for something other than candy to fill favor bags. I stumbled across these at  milkandcookeez.com and can't stop drooling over them. Wouldn't these be perfect for any little girls' birthday party?

Bless Their Nest

As the hustle of wedding season is slowing down, it's a nice change of pace to be planning an upcoming "bless our nest" baby shower. The cool blues and warm browns compliment a beautiful nest themed lunch that will be sure to delight the mother-to-be. Red, White and Wow!

Last night, Please RSVP was honored to be the event coordinator for a fundraising dinner for Bob Dixon for Missouri State Senate. It was a beautiful 83 degrees and a perfect evening for an event outdoors at a private residence. The decor was complete with a red, white and blue theme with linens from The Total Bride. Guests dined on exquisite catering from Infused Catering (a division of Long Horn Grill)- some guests noted the shrimp tempura to be the best hors d'oeuvre they've ever eaten! Delicious wine was served from Vino 100 and the most incredible melt-in-your-mouth cake truffles were from The Cake Truffle Store. Aside from the cake truffles, guests couldn't stop talking about the adorable personalized cookies from Tiny Bites and Invites. Thank you to all the vendors who helped me pull together an amazing event. My inbox is flooded with emails this morning!
